Safety Culture On-Line Training

I just came across this website that has some good stuff. If you are in Health Care, some of these course are FREE - but not sure of how many so this is "pot luck."

You may want to check it out. I signed up for it and found one course, that I am taking, on Safety Culture that is very good in content.

Developing a safety culture is not specific to any field or facility. It is how you approach the task.

OSHA seeks comments on proposed updates, revisions to the
occupational injury and illness tracking and reporting requirements
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has announced in a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking an update and revision of two aspects of the agency's recordkeeping and reporting requirements for work-related injuries and illnesses.
"These proposed recordkeeping updates will better enable OSHA, employers and workers to identify hazards in high-risk worksites," said Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health Dr. David Michaels. "The proposed reporting revisions will enable OSHA to more effectively and efficiently target occupational safety and health hazards, preventing additional injuries and fatalities."

Do we use our common sense?

I was watching the local news last night and there was a story where a person was using a GPS and ran her car into a lake. A quote from the person, "The GPS told me to!"

Here is a great site that I just found that demonstrations the improper use of the GPS.

I look for your feedback!!!

The Hilarious GPS Scene From The Office

I couldn't resist posting this funny video after all the comments on the "When GPS Leads You Astray" story — thanks for the heads up Looseseal! Thankfully Michael and Dwight don't drive into a bridge like the unfortunate bus driver, but they do . . . well . . . take a wrong turn thanks to their GPS device. How priceless is "The machine knows, stop yelling at me!" line? Love it!

New Web tool helps employers understand OSHA recordkeeping rules

A quotes from OSHA "The OSHA Recordkeeping Adviser is a new Web tool that helps employers understand their responsibilities to report and record work-related injuries and illnesses under the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's regulations.
